Johan Langquist The Castle is Johan Langquist's own band outside of Candlemass. Their self-titled debut album was first released digitally in 2024 before receiving a physical CD and vinyl release through I Hate Records in June 2025.
Musically, it's rooted in classic heavy metal, hard rock and epic doom. While it's different from Candlemass, Johan's unmistakable voice ties it all together.
The band has also performed live since the album's release, proving that this is much more than just a studio project.
