I know this might be a somewhat controversial opinion since From the 13th Sun is quite different from the rest of the Candlemass discography, but I absolutely love this album.
It's dark, heavy, psychedelic, and has a massive Black Sabbath vibe running through it from start to finish. I really appreciate how the band dared to explore a different direction instead of repeating themselves. Over the years, I've come back to this album again and again, and I think it's aged incredibly well.
One thing I've often thought about is how amazing it would be to hear Johan Längquist perform one or two songs from From the 13th Sun live. I know he didn't sing on the original album, but I'd be really curious to hear his interpretation of that material. I think his voice would suit several of those songs surprisingly well.
Am I the only one who feels this way, or are there more From the 13th Sun worshippers here?
